David Alpan DDS MSD

After completing the orthodontic training program at UOP in 1998, he received his Orthodontic Specialty certificate. He was awarded a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree for his masters thesis written on the results of the two-year TMJ research project he completed during his orthodontic specialty training.

Dr. David Alpan founded Aesthetic Orthodontics in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas in 1999. Every year, he and every member of his team take continuing education courses to keep current with the most modern orthodontic and TMJ treatment methods available today.

In 1999, Dr. Alpan became certified as an Invisalign provider. He worked on behalf of Align Technology in 2001 to teach orthodontists and general dentists how to become certified Invisalign providers. Since then, he has taught over 10,000 dentists and over 1,000 orthodontists how to use Invisalign to its full potential. Align Technology also asked Dr. Alpan to lead Invisalign study clubs in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Orange County to help general dentists and orthodontists feel more comfortable about using the Invisalign system after their initial training. The company then invited Dr. Alpan to train the sales forces at Discuss Dental and Align Technology. He served as a consultant and was an integral part of the clinical education department for Align Technology for over 6 years. With this extensive knowledge, Dr. Alpan decided to then focus solely on his practice, and has treated over 1,000 patients with Invisalign.

Dr. Jack Alpan

Dr. Jack Alpan was born in Levocha, Czechoslovakia, November 9, 1938 on Krystal Nacht. He arrived on Ellis Island, New York City on July 4, 1939. During grades 1-8 at Yeshiva of Centra Queens, Dr. Alpan Learned how to read & write Hebrew. In 1953, he moved to California where he attended San Jose High School. It was here that he learned how to read & write Spanish and then received a scholarship to attend San Jose State College.

In 1962, while attending dental school, Dr. Alpan began dating Jaffa Jenny Woolfe. They married on September 5, 1965. Jenny has a Marriage and Family Counselor (MFC) degree and a DD degree from UCLA where she was a straight A student. She also earned an AA degree in Business Administration and was on the Dean’s List as an honor student while Dr. Jack was enlisted at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base. Jenny administered Dr. Jack’s dental practice from 1967 to 1997, when he retired from dentistry. Jenny now administers Dr. David Alpan’s Los Angeles and Beverly Hills orthodontic specialty practices and has been doing so since 2000.

Dr. Jack and Jenny’s first child, Wendy Gale was born on Jenny’s birthday, June 7, 1970. Wendy graduated summa cum laude with an AA Degree in Liberal Arts at Los Angeles Community College. Wendy is a Naturopathic Doctor (ND), earning her degree from Claighton College of Natural Healing. Wendy married Joey Camen on August 11, 2002.

Dr. David Alpan was born on January 24, 1974. David is an Orthodontic Specialist (DDS, MSD) with three private practices – Los Angeles and Beverly Hills in California and Las Vegas, Nevada. David graduated valedictorian from high school & salutatorian from dental school. He has taught thousands of dentists and orthodontists in the United States and Canada how to use invisalign (removable, clear plastic aligners) to move teeth without braces in their practices. He is an Elite Premiere Invisalign Provider and among the Top 100 Invisalign Providers worldwide since 2002.

Dr. Jack Alpan lived a full and beautiful life and encouraged those around him to do the same. He is the author of two books, The Tune-Up Manual for Humans and The Hidden Code to the US Constitution. Through his practice and his books, Dr. Alpan has helped thousands of people to maximize their health and become sovereign citizens.

Dr. Patricia Valenzuela

Dr. Patricia Valenzuela was born and raised in Columbia. She received her undergraduate and Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota Columbia in 1989. Dr. Valenzuela graduated in the top 10% of her class and was invited to attend Loyola University Orthodontic Specialty training in Chicago for 3 months.

The externship at Loyola inspired her to return to the Universidad Javeriana for 3 years of Orthodontic Specialty training, where she received a Masters Degree (MS) in Orthodontics in 1995. She was also an associate professor for three years, teaching cephalometric diagnosis, part time, at Universidad San Martin. After graduation from dental school, she began to practice and improve her skills until 1999 when she decided to move to California.

Dr. Valenzuela passed her California boards and was licensed to practice in California in 2002. Since orthodontics is not only her profession, but also her passion, she is continuously furthering her knowledge of orthodontics, dentofacial orthopedics, TMJ treatments, lingual braces, TAD’s, and Invisalign. She is a highly sought after professional because of her knowledge, precision, and compassion. Dr. Valenzuela’s expertise as a bilingual orthodontist makes her an invaluable member of our team.

Dr. Valenzuela enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her son Rodrigo. She also enjoys painting, reading and working out in her spare time

Dr. Paul Sablan Sauget

Dr. Paul Sablan Sauget (Dr. Paul), originally from San Leandro, California, received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University, where he played NCAA Division I tennis and earned a 4.0 GPA in his major. He moved on to San Francisco where he earned his DDS and graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Dr. Paul went on to become a U.S. Navy and Marine Corps dentist, where he was stationed at 29 Palms Air Ground Combat Center and Naval Air Station Lemoore. During his 4-year service, Dr. Paul became a Fleet Marine Force Warfare Officer. He was then in charge of the Ops Side Dental Clinic at NAS Lemoore and periodically the interim department head for Navy Branch Dental Clinic, Monterey CA.

After serving the Navy, Dr. Paul earned his certificate in Orthodontics and his Masters of Science in Dentistry degree at Indiana University. As an orthodontic resident, one of Dr. Paul’s patient cases was selected by the orthodontics department to represent Indiana University at the 2010 American Association of Orthodontists National Conference in Washington, D.C. That same year, Dr. Paul joined his older brother’s orthodontic practice in Guam where he treated several orthognathic surgery cases, cleft lip/palate for the UCSF Hillblom Foundation, and countless military families and residents of the U.S. territory in private practice. He introduced cone beam CT, functional appliances, and laser technology to that office. In return, he gained valuable clinical experience in the western Pacific as patients were coming from many areas of the United States and other countries with a variety of orthodontic techniques and systems.

Now that Dr. Paul has returned home to California, he is extremely excited to be a part of Dr. Alpan’s Aesthetic Orthodontics team. He is also pursuing his second passion as an upper level student at the Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school. Dr. Paul has several years of film, television commercial, and theatre experience, which he would do alongside his dental education and career. His hobbies include: Xterra triathlon (which he raced in the 2012 Xterra World Championships), mountain biking (coming in 1st place in his age group at the 2012 Tour de Tinian 100km mountain bike race), playing guitar for different rock bands, auto racing/car shows, scuba diving, hiking, camping (Eagle Scout), and spending time with friends, family, and his German shepherd dog.
